J. Robert Angstadt has been a divorce & family law attorney since becoming a lawyer. Because his practice is focused solely on divorce & family law, Robert has a wealth of experience he is ready to put in action for you. Robert has represented clients in hundreds of divorce & family law cases. Prior to starting Tampa Divorce, Robert was an attorney at one of the largest divorce & family law firms in the State of Florida where he earned that firm’s top award for outstanding performance on behalf the firm and the clients.

J. Robert Angstadt is a divorce & family law attorney who’s been in your shoes. Divorce, child custody and support, parental alienation, divorce while on active duty in the military—Robert’s lived through it himself. He attended law school at the University of Florida and chose Family Law to be the kind of lawyer he wished he could have had as he dealt with a difficult marriage, child custody, and family situation.

It was this personal situation that led Robert to law school where he excelled. Robert graduated in the top 11% of his class at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, the undisputed top law school in the State of Florida. While at law school, Robert was a Justice on the University of Florida Supreme Court, a member of the University of Florida Trial Team, president of the Association for Law & Business, and an ambassador for the law school.

Before entering law school, Robert served in the United States Navy, earning two Navy Achievement Medals, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and the Operation Iraqi Freedom Medal. He holds a Bachelors Degree from Chapman University in Orange, California and an Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University.

Since graduating from law school, Robert has practiced divorce & family law exclusively. He is passionate about protecting the rights of his clients and seeking the best possible outcomes for them and their families.
